Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How can I join the Akron Black Women’s Leadership Caucus (ABWLC)?
A. A membership recruitment rally is held annually in the month of October.

Q. What are the qualifications for regular membership?
A. Must be a female; must be at least 18 years old; and must reside in Summit County

Q. How often do you meet?
A. This Chapter meets the 2nd Saturday of each month. A planning meeting is held annually.

Q. What are the qualifications to become an officer?
A. A candidate for office shall have been a member of ABWLC for at least one year and be in good standing financially and shall have abided by all rules of the Constitution and By-Laws. To be considered for the office of President she shall have been a member of ABWLC for four years and served on the Executive Board two years.

Q. Are there dues requirements?
A. Membership dues are $40.00 per year and are due on or before November 30.
